As a researcher and part of a team, I forecasted and visualized emerging trends in the product and service industry for the 2007 Trend Stream publication. This book explores the two concepts of ‘Will’: a futuristic direction and the strong intention of person. Our team considered human emotions as the key of ‘Will’ so we predicted that the trend for the near future will continue to be ‘sensible minimalism’: a combination of High Technology and simple human touch. To achieve this, we suggested 5 dimensional marketing and also adding sixth sense to attract the customers’ attention.

Why 'Will'?
'Will' is very familiar word for us. Since the first steps of learning English, we have made frequent use this word. But, how do we really feel about this word?  Although 'will' often refers to the future, it also has multiple meanings. It can indicate the strong intention of person. And the concept of willingness shows inclination to take on a responsibility in future. All of these meaning contributed to our reason for choosing 'will' as a title for the 2007 Trend Stream edition. It represents a new turning point that will never be same at former days. Recently we have seen various science technologies such as Biotechnology, IT (Information Technology), Wi-Fi and Nanotechnology that have made revolutionarily changes to human life. These are expected to continue to be the important trends in the near future. However at the same time the coexistence of the keyword 'human' is crucial. The more technology develops, the more complex becomes yet humans require more and more simplification. At the same time, as we demand new development in technology, we become more fascinated with the spiritual and mysterious inner mind. Therefore the trend for products and services for the near future will continue to be 'sensible minimalism': a combination of High Technology and simple human touch. To achieve this, 5 Dimensional marketing will increase. However by adding Sixth Sense, intuition and unconsciousness will attract the attention of customers.
