An amulet is a religious code for communicating with a god praying for finding a peace of mind and a wish to come true. It is typically composed of enigmatic lines and circles, seemingly hard for ordinary people to decipher, but it has its own forms and rules. Characters and signs with various meanings that are commingled and then built up as a new whole entity are close to the nature of iconic signs. Amulets, which have thousand years of history, are one of the most substantial iconic signs communicating with a god through the language of the transcendental.   It requires intuitive cognition.I read the meanings of the codes hidden in such amulets and then combine the codes of the amulets and other matched codes discovered in various scripts, thus reaching the point of creating my own amulets of iconic codes. This gave me a chance to identify the features of graphic languages as codes from different cultures and experiment with the possibility of these codes being capitalized on as a universal graphic language.
