Exhibition, Curation and Design
The Frankfurt HEIMTEXTIL is cited as a leading showcase of interior decorating and home textiles with its longest tradition and largest scale. The 2009 edition of the event was added more significance because of a strong reaction brought to the Trend Hall of Korean Traditional Patterns. The objective of the Hall builders was to show the Orientalism inherent in Korea and as such different from China and Japan.   The theme was "The Scent of Korea". Inside the Hall were a collection of prototypes of Korean culture, such as amulets, which exhibited the possibility of Korean traditional pattern images to evolve into a universal language and a form of graphic art through a reinterpretation of the mysterious patterns from contemporary perspectives.
